How do you cool a cheesecake FAST?

I made a cheesecake for a birthday (http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/eatingout/eatin…) and I need it ready by tonight! The recipe suggests refrigerating it for 6 hours, but that would mean it wouldn't be ready until 9:30 PM. What are some effective ways to speed up the cooling process? The sooner, the better!

Freezing Cheesecakes

Cheesecakes can be frozen. Careful wrapping is very important. To freeze, place a fully cooled cheesecake in the freezer, uncovered, for 1 hour. If it’s in a springform pan, remove sides of pan and freeze with the pan bottom in place. After 1 hour, use a knife to separate the cheesecake from the pan bottom. Slide it onto a foil-wrapped piece of heavy cardboard. Wrap in plastic wrap, then carefully place it inside a large freezer bag or wrap it in heavy duty aluminum foil. Label and date. Freezing for more than a month is not recommended to retain the best quality.

For a cheesecake with topping, such as fruit, always freeze cheesecake WITHOUT the topping and add the topping before serving.

Always thaw a cheesecake overnight in the refrigerator. When partially thawed, transfer it from the cardboard bottom to a serving plate.

You can’t sorry. Just put it in the fridge. And it should be cool enough by that time. Even if it isn’t completely cold.

DO NOT put it in the freezer. That could ruin it.

I make home-made cheesecakes all the time. And different kinds too. from oreo, to one with fruit in it, even a Pumpkin one at thanksgiving.

You’ll have to put it in the fridge, but it will most likely ƈɾąƈƙ on the top, or ƈɾąƈƙ all the way through when you take it out of the pan.

Cheesecake is really the one thing you need to cool in the oven completely, THEN put it in the fridge.

Jello Brand makes a really good mix that is really easy. If you don’t want to use that, here is a recipe. One ready prepared graham cracker crust 1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened 1 (14-oz.) can eagle® brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk) 1/3 cup lemon juice from concentrate 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Mix. Pour into crust that has been pre-baked according to the package instructions. If you want, you can use the crust without baking it. It results in a more crumbly crust. Chill 2 hours.

Just put it in the coldest part of the fridge, on the bottom shelf.

Make certain nothing above will drip on it, and cover.
