You can save a game 1 of 2 ways. 1) normal game save, it usually saves to the battery folder. But you just save the game as if you were playing the game normally. i think most pokemon games you can just go click start and save. never played any recent ones.2) save the games state. this is something specific to the emulator you are using. most have the same thing. But this allows you to save the EXACT moment you are at, even mid battle! its quite useful (but you want to do both normal game saves too, as its quite easy to overwrite the save states).Anyway to do this, while playing the game, go to file > save state as OR save state (choose 0-9). Then you can load the save state while having the game loaded, then go to file load state from OR load state 0-9.they are the same thing, but if you use the 0-9, its not 0-9 for each game, but 0-9 just total. so its probably best to just go to save state as (name it something related to the game, as in like pokemon soul silver). Then you can just load that state.states are stores in the states folder
