The same you wrote it in the question. Like many former colonies a variant of the colonial language is spoken but depending on the colonial power that is French ,Portuguese,Dutch or English the main language is still spoken. Write the letter in English. as there is no such thing as Trinidad Language

You would say I love you the same way they speak english .
the only difference is they speak broken english .
but they say I love you the same way we do .
