If 5x – 5x – 3 = (124)(5y), what is y in terms of x?
I have the following equation: 5x – 5x - 3 = (124)(5y). Could someone please assist me in solving for y in terms of x? Thank you!

At time point 5x – 5x - 3 = (124)(5y) what you need to do is combine the xs on the left side and multiply 124 times 5 on the right side
5x – 5x - 3 = (124)(5y)
0 - 3 = 620y
-3 = 620y
now divide both sides by 620
-3/620 = 620/620y
-3/620 = y
