All of the following can be considered casualties of Sekhar's truth, except for (A) his children. While he does miss an opportunity to spend time with them, he does not engage in direct conversations or have any truthful discussions with them. Additionally, the other options, including his colleagues, wife, and headmaster, all experience the repercussions of his unveiling of truth in various ways.

1) According to Sekhar, Truth is like the Sun because (B)- it may cause pain to others. 2) All of the following can be considered casualties of Sekhar's truth except for (A) His children. While he does miss an opportunity to spend time with them, he does not directly speak with them or have a truthful discussion with them. 3) The quote that best represents the consequences of the truth is (D), because his wife's sullen expression is a direct reaction to him hurting her feelings by telling the truth.

1. B. Cannot be directly stated. 2. A. Children.3. C. "Truth, he reflected, required as much strength to give as to receive."Explanation:In the story Like The Sun by R. K. Narayan, the main protagonist Sekhar decided to tell only the truth for a day, which turned out to be a really difficult task altogether. Everyone seemed to ask for his opinion which he couldn't avoid due to his resolve to be truthful, no matter what. And by stating the truth "is like the sun", which cannot be directly stated and which is something you cannot look "straight in the face". And it is this truth that he decided to follow, no matter the consequences they may bring forth. His resolve of being truthful made casualties of his wife (about her cooking), the headmaster (about his singing) and his colleagues (about a man who recently passed away) but not of his children. And through his dealing with the various 'casualties', he came to the realization that truth is something that requires as much strength to admit as to receive a truthful response.
