Is dieting mandatory for treating type 2 diabetes or can it just be exercise?

Is dieting mandatory for treating type 2 diabetes, or can exercise alone be sufficient? I would honestly prefer to get in shape without having to sacrifice the foods and drinks that contributed to my current situation. I understand that cutting back a little is acceptable, but I’m curious if exercise alone can effectively manage my condition, or if it’s necessary to make significant dietary changes as well. I’ve only recently started noticing the signs of diabetes, and I’m unsure how long it has been developing. If there’s a way to treat it without relying on medication or strict dieting, I would be very interested. Otherwise, I feel quite overwhelmed by the situation.

Dieting is actually better for diabetes than excersize. Of course the combo is best. Start by gradually cutting down carbs and then portions slowly not cold turckey. And you dont have to completely give your favs up.

Your body struggles to get rid of the sugars so diet is important , exersize can make a difference if it is solely due to you being over weight but still unlikely

plenty online about it. You just have to cut down on sugar.

You cannot diagnose yourself as there are NO symptoms, it needs a blood test.
