According to sources, debellicization is a term attributed to British historian Michael Howard, meaning to define a condition in which a society no longer views armed force as having any legitimate role (even defensive) in resolving international conflict, and loses the will to employ armed force for any purpose, even its own defense.
Another definition of debellicization found is the denigration (to speak damagingly of) or even complete extirpation (to remove or destroy totally) of military virtues from a society.
In military developments, a £1.8 million robotic mannequin that can run, kneel, and lift its arms to sight a weapon like a soldier will help test the latest in military equipment, according to Britain’s government.
The Ministry of Defence states that its newest recruit, “Porton Man,” is made from lightweight materials used in the construction of Formula One racing cars, some of the fastest vehicles on Earth. The robot, designed by the British company i-bodi Technology, is named after the home of the Ministry’s Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL). For more information, refer to Fox News.
