Walked in on my brother мᴀsтuʀʙᴀтing….?

Unfortunately thats what happened to me, I saw my younger brother (14) мᴀsтuʀʙᴀтing yesterday morning. He had to get up early in the morning (about 6 am) to catch a bus at 7, and it was already 6:30...so I went into his room to wake him up.I thought he was still asleep so I walked right in without knocking, but he was up & ɴᴀκᴇᴅ мᴀsтuʀʙᴀтing to some video on the Net.I completely froze and he saw me just as he, you know.. came all over himself.I said "I'm really sorry" and walked in his bathroom. I got a box of tissues from the bathroom and handed it to him on my way out. He didn't even look at me, he was really embarrassed..I could not talk to him after that the whole day nor today...what do i do? I dont want him scared. I know everybody does it!How can I get rid of all this "awkwardness" between us?I also feel embarrassed that I saw him in that state....(this is the first time ever i have seen him ɴuᴅε - since he was like 7)

The best thing to do is pretend like it never happened, and if it ever comes up, just say "Hey it's okay, I didn't think much of it. I do the same and next time I'll knock!" Perfectly normal.

omg, I'm so sorry ahahah...I can only imagine how embarrassing that would me, I have two brothers about that age..ew I'd be mortified! haha. Just try to make light of it I guess...make a joke out of it. Just tell him that you're sorry, and you should have knocked, and that you don't think he's a freak for doing that. I'm sure he thinks that you were thinking, "what a freak!" and that's why it was so awkward for him.Also, you could think of some way to twist it so that it's forgotten.Good luck! Honestly pretend like it never happened. Start talking to your brother again just the same way you did before, and don't bring it up with your parents.no need to make him feel ashamed and humiliated for doing something completely normal here.

Yes you should have knocked.Why the hell didn't you just turn around and walk out of the room, he would have gotten his own tissues.You created this situation and now you will have to fix it.Go out and buy or borrow some books about growing up and leave them for your brother. Then you will also need information about personal space and privacy.
