what do you mix with triple sec, or do you drink it straight?

i found a bottle of old triple sec in my mother’s house (she recently passed) and i wanted to try it out

It is an orange liqueur. You usually will use it in other drinks. A long island ice tea uses triple sec, for example. There are very few drinks based on the flavor of a triple sec.This should help http://www.drinksmixer.com/desc81.html... Show More

Other than those things already mentioned some cake and or muffin recipes call for triple sec in them. Ahhh sweet margaritas…lol... Show More

Triplesec is usually a mixer, since as far as orange liqueurs go it isn’t very good (if you want to drink something like triplesec straight, go for Grand Marnier or Cointreau).
