Yes and No. In traditional Spanish, Isabel is the equivalent to Isabelle ( French) or Isabella (Italian). Nowadays, any name wether French such as Jacqueline, or Greek such as Sandra, or Russian such as Olga, even the Italian form “Isabella” and sometimes Isabela in Spanish CAN ALL BE used in Spanish! Believe me, a lot of “American/English” names are copied and used in Spanish and are perfectly legit. Who’s to say there is a right translation.
