Discogs is not very safe. It's a marketplace but really it's more like a mall, that refers you to each seller to send your payment to the seller directly. Discogs will not be able to assist you if you have a problem with the seller other than to refer you back to the seller and to let you leave feedback about the seller. If you have a dispute with the seller Discogs won't know who's right or who's wrong because as far as they're concerned it will be your word against the seller's word. I can buy from sellers around the world and not have to worry if I'm going to get ripped off or that sellers I don't know are getting my credit card information. I've never had any problems buying music from there. You can get some pretty good deals too. Most people selling there seem to be honest and genuine enough. All sellers have a rating, so you can base their reliability from that.
