Is the correct phrase "they're mine" or "their mine"? I'm pretty sure it's "they're," right?

They’re is short for they are.

Their is possessive.

Both could be correct :

“They’re mine” means “they belong to me” (They are mine)

“Their mine” means “the mine that they own”

They’re is short for they are, so yes, that is the correct form.

Their refers to property only.

It is they’re mie because they’re means they are and their is possesive so they’re mine is the correct answer!

Of course. See those books? They are mine.

“Their mine” doesn’t make sense. “Their” is possessive, and books don’t own things. They particularly do not own things that are mine.

Three words that are often confused – there, their and they’re.

There – opposite of here;

Their – belonging to them – often mis-spelt as “thier” by people who interpret the “I before E except after C” rule rigidly;

They’re – contraction of “they are”.
