Is this weird… I wish i was older than i am?

Ok, so I am 13 years old, and I’m seriously itching to get a car. I don’t know why, but I want a job so I can have my own investment of money, and want to save up for a car and an apartment. I think it is because my parents let me have a little too much freedom in their perspective, and then they took it pretty much all away. Don’t get me wrong, my parents are great, but i just want more freedom. I feel like they restrict me from doing things i should be able to. Am i just weird, or is this normal.

I’m was in this boat since your age and still am. I will be turning 18 the first week of next month. I don’t even have a job, wasn’t allowed to get my permit and always had to go to school and never miss. Plus my childhood ******* ꜱᴜcκed and I couldn’t wait to reach the age I am now, well the age I’m turning now. You’re probably the same age as me because this is an old question and I was also around 13 or 14 years old. You should be able to do the things that you wanted to now, especially since you said your parents were pretty open. Yes, this is normal for most teenagers. After a while, i only managed to get to 15 until i got my first car! Needing money is not a benefit of any kind, wait for more education and go out on work experience if possible, learn your way around a few workplaces.Now i dont know where you live, but here in New Zealand we have a site that helps you find the job that YOU want. http://www.careers.govt.nz/Not sure that will heelp you, but its your decision, Good luck!
