LOW alto range Disney songs?

I'm looking for suggestions for Disney songs that suit a low alto vocal range. Currently, I know a few songs that I feel comfortable with: "We Are One" from The Lion King 2 (specifically Simba’s part), "I Won’t Say I’m in Love" from Hercules (Meg’s part), and "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas. My choir director often describes my voice as darker, and I’ve noticed that some songs, while I can hit the notes, don’t sound quite right because they were originally written for lighter voices.

Next year, my choir is hosting a Pops concert with a Disney theme. I would love to perform a solo, or possibly an ensemble or duet, but I want to decide on a song in advance so that either I or we can prepare thoroughly for auditions. Could you recommend some Disney songs that would fit my vocal range? Thank you!

It sounds to me like you probably have one of those Karen Carpenter voices. So, anytime you need a song to sing, you could try any of the Carpenter’s songs:

You might also consider any songs written for a Baritone voice and just sing then an octave higher.

Here are some Disney song ideas for you –

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes from Cinderella

Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of OZ

Never Neverland from Peter Pan

Can You Feel The Love Tonight (The lion king)

Remember, you can transpose any song into a range that you can sing it in. So, that means you could actually sing anything you want to but, in a key that suits your voice.

Hope that help you!

It’s very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://biturl.im/aUP1K

Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they’re not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it’s not an “either you have it or you don’t” kind of thing.

Whether you sound like crap or you’re decent, I recommend this singing course. It’s one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It’s all about using efficient techniques that work.
