Microsoft Access problem: ODBC – connection to [DSN] failed -> can’t open the data in dataview sheet?

When I attempt to open a linked table in Microsoft Access, I encounter an error message stating, "ODBC – connection to [DSN] failed" and cannot view the data in the datasheet. Could anyone help me understand what might be causing this issue? Thank you in advance!

Normally a DSN error means either the ODBC definition is missing or authorization credentials are not correct (login name and password).

Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Data Sources (ODBC).

Find the DSN you are connecting to and click Configure | Advanced. If there is a login name and/or password listed there, make sure it is correct.

If that is not the issue, make sure the path specified to the database is correct. (Configure | Select)
