What does it mean when a Spanish-speaker says “hora le” or “orale”?
What does it mean when a Spanish speaker says "hora le" or "orale"? I've heard these expressions before, but I'm not quite sure what they mean or in what contexts they are used. Could someone explain their meanings and common usage? Thanks!

It’s Mexican slang and it has different meanings according to the situation.
The most common would be: “Alright”, as in:
“¿Vamos al cine? – Orale”. ( Should we go to the movies? – Alright. )
It can also mean: “hurry up” or “get a move on”, as in:
“Orale güey”. ( Get a move on, dude. )
According to the tone in which it’s used, it can be, either a friendly assertion or an agressive taunt. In the latter it is accompanied by an insut.
Okay, I ve listened to all of your oral diarrhea long enough. Now here s the real answer. Hora le is a contraction of the word ahora meaning now . Le being you . So there were some close to correct answers up in this space when Ole García Sonne says it means “hurry up” or “get a move on” (or as I ve already explained “right now”). Hora le usually spelled without the hyphen is, in fact, hora le and often spelt horale. If there are any Mexicans present I would kindly ask for you to bury your face in the sand and hide from the ridicule you may very likely receive for being schooled by a guero. My Mexican street cred is law, and my ruling knows no challengers.

I iz confused! Thanks.
Te quiero AND Te amo. Spanish is some what Latin and then I guess in America its just all Spanish. The two are pretty much the same languages if you ask me. Learned Spanish for two and Latin for three years, I am going to learn Chinese next semester(:

I can’t understand why there are so many thumbs down! Te quiero and Te amo can be exactly the same in some countries, whereas in others the meaning change and are used in different ways. Querer is an umbrella term and it comprises Amar too. Amar, however, is mostly used in soap operas or to express a dramatic feeling, and Querer, on the other hand, can be used safely in a wider number of situations. ‘Love’ as used in English can be translated using different words in Spanish, such as Amar, Querer, Encantar and Adorar. If you want to say I love music, you translate it into Spanish as Me encanta la musica. I love my friends. = Quiero a mis amigos. I love my boyfriend. = Quiero a mi novio. or Amo a mi novio. I love my mom a lot. = Adoro a mi mama.
