What does it mean when a torrent says “Copy crack to install dir”?
I recently downloaded a torrent, and part of the installation instructions says, "Copy crack to install directory." After mounting and installing the file, it prompts me to complete this step. Could someone explain what this means and how to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Type the torrents name into google followed by crack most installations wont require that make sure its legal and not a virus.

Whatever Directory you install the program to is the install Directory. If your downloaded file is a compressed file such as a file with a ZIP, RAR, 7-ZIP, UHARC extension, it first needs to be decompressed to a temporary folder. After decompressing the file to the temp folder, there should be 1 or more files, one of which is the crack file. From the temp folder, run the setup or install file…usually setup.exe or install,com for example. After running the setup/install file, a new directory will have been created for the application you installed. Copy the “crack” file or files to that directory.
You’ll find a folder marked “crack” or the team’s name on the disc. The crack will be in that folder. Then replace the file in your install directory with the one provided. This is pretty much standard operating procedure.

It just means that you nead to copy the cracked file into the directory in which windows has installed the application. For instance, if a program installed itself to c:/program files/vlc, you would copy the crack to that folder.
