What does it mean when you get the “the number or code you have dialed is incorrect?” message?

I've been trying to call my boyfriend this morning, but after a few rings, a recording comes on that says, "The number or code you have entered is incorrect." What does this mean? He has Boost Mobile. Is this a common issue with their service? I'm really worried!

Boost uses sprints towers and transmitters. We had a similar problem in a certain area of the city where I live. It was like that for about 1 day and 1/2. It turned out to be a faulty transmitting tower of Sprints. If you got to where your phone was using a different tower everything was fine. But if your phone was connected to the messed up tower and someone tried to call you they would get the same message you're receiving. So it's probably the same problem.

If it happens when you dial any number, it's an issue with the Sprint network in your area... if it happens to a specific number you're dialing and other numbers work fine... then the number you're calling has been disconnected, or is restricted for non-payment.

Either your dialing the wrong number or there is some glitch in their system.
