What does “Push the fish, it’s about to turn” mean?
In the movie "Waiting," there's a line that says, "Push the fish, it’s about to turn." My friend and I are confused about what this means. Could someone explain it? Thanks!

“Push the fish, its’a bout to turn” means that the manager wants the waiters and waitresses to say that the fish is really good and people should definetly order it. But the truth is that they just want people to order the fish because if they dont they will have to throw it out because it is going bad (or turning). Hope this helps.
it means try and get the customers to buy the fish, because its going to expire soon. So “push” the fish on the customer before it “turn”s bad.

The fish turning would mean the fish is about to be rotten in accouple fo days.
