The word is a mash between suburb and disturb, thus "disturbia" is created. It's not an actual word it's just slang, but the word was derived from the movie Disturbia. nope. disturbia is a play on the words "disturbed" and "suburbia". which is pretty much what the film is about.but there is "dementia" which is a word, and a condition not unlike altzimers.... Show More

when i searched it on dictionary.com i couldn't find the meaning but in the encyclopedia this is what it says: Disturbia is a 2007 thriller film starring Shia LaBeouf as a teenager who thinks he witnesses a murder while spying on his suspicious neighbor while being placed under house arrest.
