What does “you have my confidence” mean?
I reached out to someone about collaborating on my business idea, and he responded by saying, "What's the idea? You have my confidence." What does he mean by "you have my confidence"?

Usually it would mean ..He is 100% sure of your ability to do it.
However, in this case, I think he might have phrased it wrong. I think he meant to say, your idea would be held in the strictest confidence.
Meaning you can trust him to keep it a secret.
