What does “you have my confidence” mean?

I sent a request for a guy to work on my business idea with me and he said ‘what’s the idea, you have my confidence’What does he mean by that?

He means he will keep it confidential. Not blab it to his colleagues.... Show More

Usually it would mean ..He is 100% sure of your ability to do it. However, in this case, I think he might have phrased it wrong. I think he meant to say, your idea would be held in the strictest confidence. Meaning you can trust him to keep it a secret.... Show More
