What should Dirk Nowitzki’s nickname be?
Dirk Nowitzki is an iconic player, yet it seems he doesn't have an official nickname. This feels surprising, considering his impact on the game. What do you think would be a fitting nickname for him? Let's brainstorm some ideas!

That’s a good question. We know that both players play on stacked offensive teams with Dirk being his teams version of Kobe. At the PF position, Pau has the advantage of doing his job better. He’s can finish with both hands around the basket, post game is with little flaws, is a VERY underrated passer and if he had a team like Dallas, him and Dirk would be pretty much equal. He also can play two positions unlike Dirk because he is a great defender. However, Dirk is a better scorer for the simple fact that he can score from all areas. He can put points up quickly but is obviously less efficient for the fact that he shoots from the perimeter. Overall as a PF, Pau is much better but as a scorer, Dirk is better. Overall, I think the’re equal but if there were an edge to be given, it would be to Dirk because he can take the last second shot to win a game while Pau can only really win a game before the 2 minute mark in the 4th quarter. Edit: And I don’t get how people say Pau couldn’t be a top player because he couldn’t lead Memphis to the playoffs. He played on a crap team with crap players who did less than crap to help him. Dirk has basically always had great players on his team. Ason Kidd found his J, Jet Terry comes off the bench, Mr. 1st and 3rd quarter in Josh Howard is on,and JJ. Barea is ballin. He can lead a bunch of scorers while Pau had close to no other threats on his team in Memphis.

Dirk People say that his low-post player sucks because he shoots jumpers, but i think his low-post skills is pretty underrated. His little fade-away jumper is his “go-to” low-post move, and not to mention that it’s pretty consistant. I mean i don’t think you can’t give the edge to a player with an MVP, basically carrying his team to a finals appearance without someone by the nickname of the Black Mamba, and someone who averages 22.4, 8.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 47.2 percent front the field( that is above average, considering that he is more of a “shooter” compared to a post player), 37.8 percent from the 3pt line (1080 3pts made), and 87.2 percent from the line compared to 18.8 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game.
