What should I do?
My best friend’s boyfriend has not treated her as well as he could have in their relationship. In November, he blamed and accused her of jeopardizing the relationship because she catfished him on a dating site where he is active, along with a few other issues. They live together and are still in a relationship. I used to be good friends with him as well, but I haven't spoken to him in a long time. I don’t feel comfortable being friends with him anymore, but we haven’t discussed it. I am seeing him next weekend, as he’s attending an event that my friends and I are going to, and he knows I am aware of what has happened.
I’m unsure of how to proceed and feel like a burden. He seems annoyed that he hasn't seen me, not knowing the reasons behind it. Should I tell him that I don't feel comfortable being friends if he asks, or is there a better approach? Any advice would be helpful; I just don’t want to cause a scene or create any unnecessary stress for anyone involved.
