With bra sizes, the number is the measurement of your underbust (the area around your ribs where the band of the bra sits), while the letter is determined by the difference between your bust and underbust (so, it is essentially a measure of your proportionality; a 28DD would have smaller cups than a 40B). So, a 32B would fit you better around the ribs, but would be too large in the cup. A 34A might fit you in the cup, but would be loose in the ribs. You’d probably be better off buying a different bra in your actual size. HOWEVER -the majority of women are wearing the WRONG bra size. This matters, it can lead to all sorts of back, shoulder and chest pain/discomfort. I suggest you get a fitting/sizing done, to make sure you’re in the right size -they’re usually free, see what stores offer them. Lingerie/bra stores that are higher-end (or at least, not some chain store in the mall) are more likely to have certified fitters, or at least a day where certified fitters are on hand, and obviously you’re under no obligation to buy just because you get a fitting. Make sure you’re in the right size bra. If you definitely are a 32A, I’d say, try them both on. See what fits you better. Many women don’t fit exactly into any size, so it’s hard to say for sure which will work. But again, if neither of them fit quite right, you’re far better off getting a different bra in your right size....
