Why would I get hiccups from hardboiled eggs and not scrambled or fried?

As long as I can remember, I get hiccups the second I take the first bite and swallow a hardboiled egg. This happens with rice as well; I am flummoxed.

Hard-boiled eggs are gassy. You probably got the hiccups because of the texture of the solid egg whites.... Show More

I have the same thing happen, it is really odd to me. It can t be that they are gassy, it happens the moment I bite into them. Not the shape either…... Show More
