Why would I get hiccups from hardboiled eggs and not scrambled or fried?
I have noticed that every time I take my first bite and swallow a hardboiled egg, I immediately get hiccups. This reaction also occurs when I eat rice. I find this quite puzzling and would like to understand why hardboiled eggs trigger hiccups for me, while scrambled or fried eggs do not. Can anyone explain the possible reasons behind this phenomenon?

Hard-boiled eggs are gassy. You probably got the hiccups because of the texture of the solid egg whites.
Probably the way it’s shaped traps some air when you swallow and thus, a hiccup.
