Can I use Pedialyte instead of water with formula?

No, if you use pedialyte instead of water the baby will get too many mineral salts and not enough water, that can cause dehydration and other problems.

You can mix 2oz of prepared formula with 1-2oz of pedialyte.

If none of these drinks is available, other alternatives are:

* Fresh fruit juice* Weak tea* Green coconut water

If nothing else is available, give

* water from the cleanest possible source  (if possible brought to the boil and then cooled).

maybe half and half 2 oz of water and 2 oz of pedialyte---to mix with the formula. I hope he feels better soon, sorry your little one is having such a hard time of it. But I am not a doctor, so am not qualified to say for sure.

No, he's getting the pedialite for the xtra fluids, he's losing with the diarrhea. If you mix it with the formula, he won't be getting xtra fluid. Try some flavored stuff! Good luck, I hope your little guy feels better!

If your doc says it ok then i would. But not every time he gets a bottle and only mix in the amount your doc says to.

try mixing a little bit of sugar with the pedialyte.

i would mix a half teaspoon for 2oz for my kids when they were babies.. babies crave sweet.. so this should help.

You can also ask your pharmacist about this..But i honestly think you can but dont know 100 percent for sure...I would talk to your doctor about this..
