it has small amounts naturally, but the govt has bred tobacco plants to increase the amount, then they add tars, and various other things to it as well, along with more nicotine, even the paper on the filter is infused with it, so yes its a plot to make people addicted to them so they make a killing in taxes and lobbying from the tobacco industry.

if the government puts the nicotine into it then what did the indians smoke during mid-century? it wasn’t just smoke…i think the addiction to tobacco is a psychological one people have, the chemicals may have an influence but first you gotta consider how often “cool” characters smoke cigarettes in movies and how typical it is for humans to put things in their mouths, if were not biting our nails, then eating our hair or chewing on pens or pencils or grinding our teeth…its an oral fixation that we all have or most of us… people feel comfortable when things are in their mouths for some reason …

naturally. its the plant’s natural defense. its extremely toxic, hence it survives and repels other insects and animals by using the nicotine.
