Emerson’s transparent eyeball?
I don't understand what Emerson's concept of the "transparent eyeball" means. Can someone explain its significance and how it relates to his views on nature and perception?

This is what I assume you are referring to:
NATURE
Standing on the bare ground, my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball-I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me-I am part or particle of God.The name of the nearest friend sounds then foreign and accidental: to be brothers, to be acquaintances-master or servant, is then a trifle, and a disturbance. I am a lover of uncontained and immortal beauty. In the wilderness, I have something more connate and dear than in the streets or villages. In the tranquil landscape, and especially in the distant line of the horizon, man beholds somewhat as beautiful as his own nature.

To put it simply, the transparent eyeball is a metaphor for him seeing everything as a part of everything instead of as himself looking out. Emerson placed an emphasis on being one with nature and so as a transparent eyeball, he sees everything and exists as everything else exists around him. At least that’s my take on it…hope this helps!

“Standing on the bare ground, my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, all mean egotism vanishes. He becomes an invisible eyeball. In effect, he becomes nothing, but he can see everything and God flows through him. God becomes part of him and he becomes part of God.

i dont get what that means…
You are Not understanding the Bible. In Gen. it tells us that Jesus got to be the Christ because he was the only angel that had Never sinned! I have gone through my New Testament and counted over 550 places that state that Jesus is Not God! Like where Jesus said: Why do you call me “good”? I am Not good. Only God is good.”. “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was WITH him.” “…You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,…”. “For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which i am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me.” It is best to obey the Bible, not lazy people personal wants and desires.
