good songs that represent lord of the flies and why…?
I am working on a project and need help identifying three or four songs that effectively represent the themes and ideas in "Lord of the Flies." Could you please suggest some songs and explain why they are relevant? Thank you!

"Island in the Sun" by Weezer – it embodies boys’ attitude at the beginning of the book, where the island is a paradisical utopia for them to have fun.
"Almost Human" by Voltaire – this is a good representation of the novel’s theme. It reminds me of when the pig’s head is talking to simon. The song tells about someone who was once good and innocent, but was cast into the depths of hell for just being himself. However, once here, he has festered and become the evil that man had condemned him to be.
"Lord of the Flies" by Iron Maiden. Pretty obvious. It is kind of the point when the boys’ attitude changes from just wanting to have fun, to becoming animalistic and fueled by anger and survival of the fittest.
"Field of Innocence" by Evanescence – about how the boys lose their innocence; though they are still children there is now a darkness within them.
"The Mob Song" from Beauty and the Beast – This would be a great song for when Jack and his hunters let their mob-mentality take over, when they go after the beast, and when they go after Simon – it even quotes "Kill the beast!"
"The Crazed" by the Meteors – it’s the final stage of the hunters, when they become total savages and go after Ralph. No matter where he runs and hides, they will find him, their determination is unflagging because they’ve pretty much gone crazy.
"Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns n Roses – the song welcomes them to the jungle/island and talks about how they are kind of becoming animalistic
"I’m Just a Kid" by Simple Plan – reminds me of Piggy; he’s just a kid, but different from everyone else, doesn’t fit in.
"Valley of Dreams" by Tiger Army – Reminds me of Ralph; it talks about someone who walks alone in the night, ostracized by the others, reminds me of when ralph is the only one on his team left.

School’s out for Summer – Alice Cooper Teenage wastland – The Who Revolution – The Beatles Helter Skelter – The Beatles Won’t Get Fooled Again – The Who BaBa Oriely (sp?) – The Who
"Butterfly With Bullet Wings" – The Smashing Pumpkins – just a rage against society kind of song.
"Closer" – Nine Inch Nails – calls himself an animal, although, it’s a kind of dirty song and might not be appropriate for school
"Killing In The Name" – Rage Against The Machine – again, not, like, totally on point, but a song about throwing off the rules that those around you would accept
Tough assignment! Good luck!
