How do i put a password on my wifi?
How can I secure my Wi-Fi network with a password? I'm trying to access the network settings to view all devices connected to my Wi-Fi. I need help with putting a password on the network and potentially blocking specific devices. Thank you!

Go to your wireless profile and select profile that you want to protect by password. Then select the properties of your profile and select network security or ENCRYPTION KEY(SSID) then type anything as your password. Then all are need to know the password for your profile connection.
option 1)-type 192.168.1.1 in your browser, go to WEP and add a password
option 2)- Both your wifi cards support WPA encryption, that’s good.
You will need to access the router control panel via a Web browser.
Do this from a computer that is connected to the router via wire, don’t use a wireless client to do this.
1. open browser
2. type http://192.168.1.1/
3. enter username and password:
Username: blank, don’t type anything here
Password: admin
Those are the defaults. If cannot access using admin as a password then you’ll need to reset the router using the reset button on the back. A pen works well for this. You’ll see the router led’s blinky-blink while it resets. After reset, login using the defaults above.
4. There will be a section for wireless setup and wireless security. Enable the wifi and use WPA TKIP security. You can also give a unique name (ESSID) to your wireless network. The default name is Linksys. Name it something like “getyourown” or “nolongerfree” if you want to have some fun w/ the neighbor!
Have a look at detailed instructions in the user manual available here:

Usually Router Password is used in Networks in office and multi-user/sharing in a home network. To avoid unauthorized login, follow the process. -Install Router drivers. -Go to browser and enter 192.168.1.1 (As default Internal IP) -Enter User name and a STRONG Password.(Don’t reveal password to any one else) -Login to the Admin panel with the default account as created and enable password protection. -Win XP can prompt for WPA/WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access), which can be downloaded from Microsoft website. That’s it. Done!
