How long does it take to install a Motherboard?

How long does it typically take to install a motherboard in a desktop computer? I'm looking for a general timeframe, as well as any factors that might influence the installation duration, such as the complexity of the build or the experience level of the person performing the installation.

About 5 minutes, but the motherboard only. You need to install:

* Motherboard

* CPU

* FAN

* Power Supply

* Cables

* Hard Drive

* DVD Rom

* Graphics Card

* Cooling Fans (if developer allows it)

* Optional Card Reader

One or two hours total

The 6 days bit would be if you have an OEM manufacturer do the work for you and have a line of credit with them and add stuff that has delays involved.

Well that depends on a few things.

First, installing a motherboard for the first time will take you much longer than your second or third times. Depending on the amount of peripherial devices you are installing, what kind of cable management you are doing it could take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.

Then, depending on whether this is a different motherboard than the one that was originally installed, or just the same motherboard as a replacement for a failed one, it will take longer because you will have to reinstall windows if it is a different motherboard. That will take another hour at least.

About 10 minutes, but the motherboard only. You need to install:

* Motherboard

* CPU

* FAN

* Power Supply

* Cables

* Hard Drive

* DVD Rom

* Graphics Card

* Cooling Fans (if developer allows it)

* Optional Card Reader

and then you have to install the os (windows xp or something) on that motherboard,it will take almost 30 min in 1 gb ram.

then you have to install the driver for the mother board ,it will take almost 10-15 min..

as a whole to install mother board it will take about 1 hour….

For a new build about 3 minutes.

To replace an existing motherboard roughly 20-45 minutes.

This is assuming that you know what you are doing.

About 10 minutes. It depends if your are going fast or slow and other things such as how many mounts you have to put in and so on.

technically about 5 minutes it s how fast you can screw it to your casing, not kidding here and a whole cpu about 10 minutes. please follow your motherboard guide book to avoid any problems.
