.wbfs vs .iso for playing games on Wii?
Which file format is better for playing games on the Wii: .wbfs or .iso? The YouTube video guide I followed suggested that .iso files are better, but I’m not sure. Currently, I have four Wii games saved on my computer that I plan to play on my Wii. Two of them are in .iso format, and one is in .wbfs format. For the last game, I have two versions: one in .wbfs format and the other in .iso format. I noticed that the .iso file is about 0.3GB larger than the .wbfs file for the same game. Is that size difference typical, or could it indicate that one of the files is corrupted?
I’d like to understand which file format I should use for the best experience, or if it’s fine to use a mix of both.

.ISO files are always the same size. Either 4.something or 9.something GB in size. The reason being, the disk is read backwards, so filler needs to be in the .iso file in order for the content to be at the end of the disk when the disk is burned.
.wbfs files has that extra space removed. So games will vary in size.
Essentially, even if you store the games as iso on your computer, it's best to install the games to the hard drive using Wii Backup Manager (google it). It will handle the file directory structure for you on your hard drive and will trim off the fat so what's instealled to the hard drive is still the same file size as your wbfs file.
Wii Backup Manager also properly handles file size limitations of FAT32. So you don't have to worry about that.
