Is it ok to cry in your girlfriend’s arms?
I've been going through a lot of challenges with my family and some friends. I’ve experienced some depression and have felt really down at times. My girlfriend has seen me cry before. Recently, she walked into my room when I was lying down, trying to recover after breaking down. She told me she was there for me if I wanted to talk.
Last night, she stayed over at my place, and I was feeling particularly low because my family was discouraging me about my music aspirations, telling me it would never lead to anything in life and that my dreams wouldn't come true. My cousins even expressed how much they disliked me. In that moment, I let it all out. My girlfriend held me in her arms and comforted me. We talked things through, and I genuinely felt better being able to share everything with her.
I cried in her arms, and now I'm wondering—is this a good thing or a bad thing?

You my good sir have a well written question, so you don't get a troll! Congrats!
In my opinion, it is okay for you to cry to your girlfriend. If she receives you well, then that is a good sign for her, it means she is a good person and truly cares for you. And she did. There is no reason to be ashamed of crying to her, she just wants to see you happy. I'm sure she is someone who supports your music. I think she will help you out in the long run, so look to stay with her.
If you are really worried about it, just text her saying (you guys may live together, but do this through text if possible, but NOT when she is anywhere that you can easily talk to her) that you are sorry for crying to her. I'm sure she'll say it is just fine.
Now she knows you trust her. And she trusts you.
My boyfriend and I just went through a really rough patch in our relationship on Sunday-Tuesday (today). We both cried in each other's arms...I liked comforting him and wiping away his tears because it makes me glad to know that he knows I'm here for him and I love him. Men are not whimps or anything for crying--especially in the arms of someone they love and trust. It's perfectly ok to do it. I hope the stuff with your family and friends gets better...believe me, I know where you are right now and it's hard as hell....but just realize that your girlfriend is there for you and you can trust her. Just focus on the happy times, and try not to think of the painful things. I truly wish you the best, thank your girlfriend for being such an angel to you!!!
Crying to your girlfriend is not a bad thing! It should make her feel good that you are comfortable enough to do so. I'm sorry to hear you are down in the dumps. Hope everything gets better for you.
Shes yourgirlfriend! She should be there for you when you are going through a tough time, so yes, its ok for you to cry around her. As long as you are able to encourage her back, and help her when she needs to cry, then thats part of the reason to have a relationship, is for that support
