is mr color acrylic or lacquer based?

is mr color acrylic or lacquer based? if it is lacquer based, do i need to use primer?

Mr. Color is lacquer based.Mr. Hobby is acrylic.I’ve used Mr. Color for several years, love it, and have had good results both with and without primer. When I use I primer, I use Mr. Surfacer 1000. http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZSF-284You can dilute for airbrushing using Mr. Color thinner. Be careful when airbrushing Mr. Color, though.
