WHAT is “OSD” timer in my LCD moniter . i dont know why it shuts down when comp is workin?
I am experiencing an issue with my LCD monitor, which shuts down automatically after a few minutes of use. I would like to understand what the "OSD" timer is and why the monitor is shutting down even though I have selected the "Never" option in the power settings of the Control Panel. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem?

OSD stands for on-screen display. That timer option is there so you can set how long your monitor menu stays visible before disappearing on its own.
If your monitor is actually shutting down, then make sure that your Power Saver option includes your monitor, as there are a few different components you set it for. Or your plug is loose, either in the monitor or the wall. Hopefully it's just not a blank screen screen-saver that's coming on. If it still persists, you may just need a new monitor.

OSD (on screen display) timer is how long the LCD menu options remain on the screen. It has little to do with the monitor shutting down.
Try disabling the power saving features on the LCD if possible.
OSD means on screen display, the power option for this is configured in the lcd display itself not on the computer, have a look at the instructions for the lcd display to see how to turn this off.
