Why is Aim toothpaste so cheap?

It's only like 90 cents at most stores...and the tubes are really big too, it's not like it comes in one of those little skinny tubes. I just wonder if there is a reason why it is so cheap? I'm really trying to save money, and I got some a few weeks ago and tried it out. I did notice that it's not as strong as other brands like Colgate and Crest, and the freshness in your mouth doesn't seem to last as long. So maybe not the best toothpaste if you want really fresh breath that lasts for hours. But does it do an ok job at cleaning your teeth? Is it ok to use or would I be more at risk of getting cavities?

Check the ingredients...if the fluroide ion levels are equal then it's very likely because of branding. AIM is not as popular as Colgate and Crest which are the two monopolies. When you look at their ingredients they are identical. Technically one can create a superior toothpaste at home which costs about $0.05.
