Why is Black Friday called Black Friday?

The term "Black Friday" typically evokes a negative connotation, suggesting something undesirable. However, it seems that Black Friday is celebrated as a highly anticipated shopping event. Can someone explain why this day, associated with significant sales and consumer excitement, has been labeled as "black"? What is the origin of this term, and how did it come to represent such a positive experience for shoppers?

lack Friday is the name given to the shopping day after Thanksgiving. It was originally called Black Friday because so many people went out to shop that it caused traffic accidents and sometimes even violence.

Its called black Friday because on that day retail stores either make it or it will break it , meaning they will be in the Black , ( Good year ) or ( Red bad year ) it has to do with money the Friday after Thanks Giving is the Biggest retailers shopping day of the year crazy sales going on for Christmas etc . Some people camp out the night before to get products that are on sale and they sell out . I remember those Cabbage Patch Dolls , people got in fist fights at department stores over these things .

Well apparently the day has caused grim consequences. I have read that it originated in Philidelphia in 1966, and didn’t spread till the mid 70’s. But truthfully I’ve only heard the term used in the past few years, so to believe that the name has been around for over 40 years seems kind of hard to swallow. I think the calling of the day after thanksgiving black friday has only become wide spread since about 2005.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving while there are a number of sales and individuals are doing a great type of procuring for Christmas. at times purchasers get in fights with one yet another, etc. I even have enormously much laways controlled to keep away from Black Friday. it quite is a gaggle of hype to get you to spend a annoying day spending all your cash. Who desires that?

Back when book keepers used both “RED” and “BLACK” ink to keep up with their expenses. The “RED” ink was used to show the debt while the

“BLACK” showed the cash on hand.

Hopefully the INK used on Friday will be BLACK!!
