Can you give me the exact definition of pregidous?
I am writing an essay on the book "To Kill a Mockingbird," and I believe the word "prejudice" is relevant to my analysis. I have a general understanding of its meaning, but I need clarification on one point: should I refer to it as "racial prejudice" or simply "prejudice"?

prej·u·dice
noun, verb, -diced, -dic·ing.
–noun 1. an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason.
any preconceived opinion or feeling, either favorable or unfavorable.
-
unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, esp. of a hostile nature, regarding a racial, religious, or national group.
such attitudes considered collectively: The war against prejudice is never-ending.
damage or injury; detriment: a law that operated to the prejudice of the majority.
–verb (used with object) 6. to affect with a prejudice, either favorable or unfavorable: His honesty and sincerity prejudiced us in his favor.
—Synonyms 2. preconception, partiality, predilection, predisposition. See bias. 6. bias, influence.
In "To Kill a Mockingbird," racial prejudice is involved in the case against Tom Robinson, but prejudice is also involved in people's attitudes toward Boo Radley, which had nothing to do with race.
That word doesn't exist in English. I think you mean "prejudice". If the essay is for school I'd pay a lot of attention to the spelling!!
Prejudice:
1 : injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims
2 a (1) : preconceived judgment or opinion (2) : an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge b : an instance of such judgment or opinion c : an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics
