Can you help me with the meaning of this quote?

Could you help me understand the meaning of this quote by Jonathan Swift: “May you live all the days of your life”? I would appreciate any insights into its significance and how it might apply to our daily lives.

Living is much more than just breathing in and out. All your days alive should be good, active, joyful days. Live the days, don’t just survive them.

It means you must alwayslive your life to the fullest, Never indulge in petty sqabbles or spiteful word games. Live as if every day really could be your last. Make each day a day to remember

Start every day with love in your heart for the rest of humanity

Remembering that there are some very unhappy lonely people

out there and it is in you to show compassion and love .

That way you will truly live every day of your life.

One interpretation may be that some people are in such turmoil that learning to enjoy their lives or living them to their fullest is a real challenge. Those are the people that you are lucky to wish they spend every day as it should be lived.

Another interpretation is so many people live for tomorrow that living for today is inexistent or secondary. Those are the people who let the years go by putting their hard earned money for the singular vacation or home. In the meantime life has swept by them and they have not lived every day as it should be lived.

The quality of life is the the difference between loving life and living life. Some people just exist in life while others enjoy life.

Put Life in your living, instead of just living like a vegetable by choice.

it means though you will actually live all the days of your life, the speaker wants you to fully live them… meaning:

cherish them

love them

do as much as you can to enjoy yourself
