fuse for 2005 ford explorer.?

What is the fuse number for the radio in a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4×4? Is it located under the hood or on the dashboard? Unfortunately, I don't have an owner's manual to reference.

Hi Steve,

First let me direct you as to how to get a free digital Owners Manual.

You can download the manual from one of the Ford sites. No registration is needed, just submit the Year/Make/Model from either site:

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/retail/defa…

http://www.flmowner.com/servlet/ContentServer?page…

Once you have a manual, (handy for future reference) go to the chapter about fuses. It starts on page188.

You’ll see the diagrams for both “fuse boxes”

In the passenger compartment fuse box, see diagram 0n page 189 for location:

On page 191, it shows that the #28 position is a 7.5 amp = Brown mini-fuse for the Cluster, Audio

also #29 position is a 20 amp (could be yellow or maybe blue, replace with same) fuse for Audio

And the #13 (15Amp) is for the sub-woofer (if equipped)

Also, depending on which radio system you have, the under hood Power Distribution Box shows the #11 (50Amp) fuse for the Adrenalin system.

I hope this helps.
