A “unit” (they are not called pints anymore) is 350cc’s. A vial of blood ranges from 3ccs to 10 ccs-so you can figure it out. Edit sorry– brain far:t its 350 cc packed cells more or less, so yes, 500 cc whole blood, total donation.... Show More

Actually, 500 milliliters of whole blood is taken from a blood donor. “Vials” of blood can range anywhere from 4-7 milliliters, on average. Either way, you wouldnt be able to notice the difference! Just drink plenty of water before and after the blood donation... Show More
