I got a “Riverside” brand turkey from Walmart tonight, has anyone ever had the brand before?
I purchased a 14-pound "Riverside" brand turkey from Walmart tonight. Has anyone had experience with this brand before? I plan to cook it using the "bag" method. Thank you!

The riverside turkeys are good. I use the reynolds oven bags if that is what you are referring to. I use them for EVERYTHING!! They make clean up so much easier, and getting the drippings for gravy!!
Happy Thanksgiving
Yes it is a real turkey, I have had one and it was just as good as any other turkey. I don't care for the bag method but to each his own. Just stuff the bird and pop him in the oven. Happy Thanksgiving!
I have used Riverside Turkey before and it is really good. If you want an alternative bag method you can use a paper bag and cook it at 250 deg. overnite. That way you can have all day to cook your sides.
I know a lady who buys nothing but Riverside Turkey, but i have never cooked one either and mine is a 16 pound.

I HAVE USED RIVERSIDE BRAND TURKEYS FOR YEARS NOW. WE HAD A EARLY THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION THIS PAST FRIDAY SINCE MY HUSBAND CAME HOME. I ALWAYS USE THE COOKING BAGS. OURS WEIGHED 16.70 LBS I COOKED IT FOR 3 HOURS . WHICH IT SAID ONLY NEEDED TO BE COOKED FOR 2 1/2 HOURS. THE BREAST WAS THE ONLY PART WE ATE FROM THAT NIGHT, THE THERMOMETER POPPED OUT AND WHEN I DEBONED IT I FOUND ALL OF THE DARK MEAT WAS STILL RAW.THAT WAS A FIRST FOR ME. NOW I HAVE LOST MOST OF THE BIRD SINCE WE ONLY ATE SUCH A SMALL AMOUNT. I THANK G_D WE DID'NT GET SICK AFTER BLESSING THE MEAL. I PLAN ON CONTACTING THE COMPANY TO LET THEM KNOW. BE MINDFUL OF THIS . I have had this turkey and it is really good! I just cook mine the usual way by putting it in a pan and cover it with tin foil.
Yes, It is the best turkey I have ever cooked. It was so juicy; I will never buy anything else,
yes, they are just as good as any name brand. I know people that buy one and have the butcher at Wal Mart cut the frozen turkey in half and they make 2 meals outta it.
I bought one this year against my better judgement! It was a mess! Dirty, full of feathers, half theʙʀᴇᴀsт cut so that idk if I can stuff it, giblets missing, and felt greasy. I sure hope it turns out edible because I don't have time to go get another, quick thaw it all night, and then roast it tomorrow. So disappointed!
