I really need to loose weight. I weigh 56 kg and my height is 169cm?
I am 14 years old, 169 cm tall (5 ft 5 in), and weigh 56 kg (8.8 stone). My sister is three years older than me, 3 cm taller, and weighs 52 kg. As you can imagine, I often feel self-conscious about my weight and embarrassed. I would like to lose 8 kg and am seeking advice on effective diets or strategies to help me achieve this goal. Additionally, we will be weighed at school soon, and I want to feel confident about my appearance. Can you please provide some suggestions? Thank you!

Eating more natural foods really helps. As a ballet dancer I have to stay very slim and I found eating fruits and vegetables really helps.
Morning a healthy fruit smoothie 70 calories of non fat yogurt mix in some fruit
Lunch raw veggies you can get 1 calorie per spray dressing
Dinner lean protein and more vegetables
and for snacks cut up apples dipped in non fat yogurt or plain red bell peppers
Don’t drink any sodas or drinks with calories try herbal teas and water
also try stretching and walking. When I am on holiday breaks to keep in shape I found yoga and some jogging really goes a long way.
On youtube they have some great work short work out videos
Hi Hannah,
I just got to read your question and from my professional perspective, I would like to know why you want to lose 8kg? Just because your older sister weights less then you?
You do not need t get embarrassed for anything. You are only 14 and at this age you might go through some hormonal changes in your body that may cause you having little extra weight.
Based on the facts you have written about yourself, you are just fine.
If you really want to lose some weight – make sure it is fat loss rather then just weight loss.
When you target fat with speeding up your metabolism (eating at least 3 meals a day and doing some exercise like walking, biking, swimming etc..) you will burn fat.
Just do not go on diets or anything like skipping meals… That will slow down your metabolism and you will later gain more fat then you would like.
Hope it helps,
Brett
I m the same height, weight and age as you.
i had the same thoughts.
i went on a diet, then i lost the amount of weight i was aiming for but still felt fat and didn t see the results in my mind when others could. i got carried away and stopped eating. that didn t last long as i love food and so i made myself puke, and then i realised i wanted to lose weight to be happy about myself and now that i have lost it I m unhappier unhealthier and none of my friends wanted to hang out with me. i would just excersize and eat healthy and my 21 year old sister is the same weight as me and so what. I m a lot happier , honestly i sound like a lot of bullshit that katy perry might say but… idk its hard not to look like a hypocrite in this case. i started eating again and now I m 56, and honestly i couldn t be happier
pls for me don t go down the road that i went on. it cost my mum a lot of money and pain and myself. there was therapy meds everything and i just think to myself i have done the complete opposite to my intentions
of course i still think to myself sometimes that I m fat. but honestly it wasn t other ppl thinking that it was only myself.
i wasn t troubled before this, at all. i was definitely not that type of girl, if someone told me a year before it happened that i wanted to do that to myself i would think they were talking **** and lying! (well i was 11 ish so i don t think i would ve thought those exact words)
i hope this helps. i know if i was in your position i would think whatever but its worth a try

you do NOT need to lose weight. are a totally healthy weight for your height, not overweight at all! you are in fact on the lower end of the bmi (body mass index) scale, meaning that you are very slim already, one of the lowest weights somebody of your height should be, and that if you lose weight you will become underweight which is dangerous and unhealthy.
Haha I’m 13 and I’m in exactly the same position but I’m a bit taller and I’m 56 kilos as well XD I’m not fat but I run so my legs are kinda muscly :/ so ur not fat and ur normal according to your bmi. You might have heavy bones or you are athletic, it dosent mean you’re fat ?
