So today i went into chase to see why 2 checks were not deposited in my bank account…not realising?
Today, I went into Chase to inquire about why two checks had not been deposited into my bank account. I didn’t realize that the teller had given me $1,000 in my envelope, which I thought only contained $400 due to the printed statement. When I went to the bank, a woman called the police while I was asking if I could go back home to grab the original envelope with the money to count it, as I thought I might have been mistaken or misunderstood the teller. When I initially visited, I asked to cash the checks, but I was told that they couldn’t be cashed. After receiving my $400 back for my withdrawal, I left. However, when I returned today, the manager reported it as fraud after I explained that it was an honest mistake. Now I’m scared because I didn’t mean to report the cash as missing; I just assumed and didn’t even think to count the cash I received.
