An allegory is a sort of comparison where one thing symbolically represents a more complicated idea. A metaphysical allegory, therefore, is an allegory that is used to represent the metaphysical, which is the infinite or intangible. A good example of this is the first chapter of the Bible, by which God creates the world in 7 days.
