What is a P.O. Box? Can please anyone explain me!!?

How does a P. O. box work? please try to explain it to me. Thank you!!

A p.o. Box is instead of getting mail and letters at your home…you have it sent to a post office…and they keep a box for you at the post office…and you go pick up the mail at the post office in a box they keep for you.... Show More

It is basically a box that you rent from a post office (hence the P.O.) that you can have your mail sent to. It is basically a 2nd address.... Show More
