Are accounting 101 classes hard?

Question

tomorrow i start my second semester in college and im really excited for my accounting class but worry it may be hard. for those who have had accounting 101 or similar accounting classes would you say its on the easier or harder side as far as understanding the material goes. I have no problem with alot of work just understanding the concepts.

It’s just like an other class, right now it seems hard because you haven’t been introduced to the subject yet, but they’ll teach you everything you need to know to do well.Accounting’s not that hard anyways, 101’s an intro class so you dont really dive into anything too difficult, you just learn some basic stuff, like journal entries, understanding income statements, balance sheets, etc..

Accounting is the most demanding major in a business school. The introductory course is one of the most important courses you will have. The concepts you learn will apply to all other courses. Many students think that accounting will be hard because of the math, but the math in accounting is basic (+ – * /) What is hard is knowing what to add or multiply, why, and what the result means. Accounting concepts and rules are complex, and you can’t learn them by reading about them. To learn the material you have to do it. The homework is time consuming, but if you are not willing to put the necessary time into it, you will not do well. Accounting courses require more time than most other business courses. And if you plan to major in accounting, you have to earn good grades. It is not for the average student. If you can’t earn above average grades, look for another major. I hope you have a good teacher. Some teachers just can’t bring the concepts across well. A good teacher should make the course as easy as possible. If you are willing to put in the time, you will do well.

The accounting class is not hard it’s just time consuming. Be willing to put in the work. You can kind of fudge the class and still get a C. If you get anything less than a high B or an A in the class I suggest looking elsewhere than accounting for a career.

yes! i’m currently taking chem course. and its really hard… you need to have the passion to study… and always listen to the teacher’s lesson… and you really need to understand basic math…
