Well,Of course you can dry/cook anything in the oven. The results will vary depending on the recipe.I usually put my shoes on top of the dryer whlle I am drying other clothes. This usually helps speed the drying a long.Or let them air dry in the sun or by an open window where there is a lot of sun coming through. But, uh, oven, I would stay away from that idea... Show More
My Mother always would dry shoes on the oven door when I was little. I am now old and have done the same. I set the oven at the lowest temperature put newspaper on the oven door and set the shoes on top of the newspaper. I’m not sure how long it will take to dry your shoes but I take it 30 minutes at a time and check them. In the summer I do set shoes on a sunny window sill or outside in the sun.... Show More
If you have a hand-held hair dryer, that might work just as well. Real leather shoes will need to be retreated to soften them up after soaking with water. Talk to a cobbler or shoe repair shop in your area for product recommendations. A shoe store like Foot Locker or Pay-less is unlikely to have anyone who is knowledgeable enough to help you, so a shoe repair store is your better bet. For canvas or man-made shoes, if it is still a sunny day, you can also put them in a place where they might catch a breeze and dry slowly and naturally. The hair dryer will work to hurry the process. If you insist on putting them in the oven, the lowest setting is best. If you don’t have a "warm" setting on your oven, turn it to 200 degrees, let it heat to temperature, then turn it off and put the shoes in. I’d leave the door down at least at first. They need air circulating as well as warmth.... Show More
I just washed my sneakers and put them in our modern convection oven. I set it at the lowest temperature I could, 170F on the digital readout. I monitored it every 5 or 10 minutes and at no time did the sneakers feel too hot like the rubber soles would melt or anything. They were fairly dry after about 45 mins. I think the circulating air of the convection oven helped. Since it is winter I left them overnight by the heating duct to finish the process.... Show More

Not unless you like the smell of burning rubber and not being able to wear them again. Don’t try it, put them on the radiator or run to the nearest laundrette... Show More
No. Not in any type of oven. As they’re liable to burn easily, they’re a hazard. Even if you watch them carefully.... Show More
